LEMONADE DAY! 7th Grade Career Development Conference: Entrepreneurship

Wednesday, March 20th, 2019 from 9:30am to 1:30pm

About

Birmingham Education Foundation is seeking volunteers to assist with our 7th grade Conference addressing Entrepreneurship.

Students will be educated through in-school direct service using the National Lemonade Day model, that will culminate in this citywide conference experience where they will meet local entrepreneurs, participate in interactive workshops and compete in a Shark Tank styled pitch contest. Each individual or team of up to three will have an opportunity to present their business models before small panels of judges. Top scorers throughout the judging period will then present before the general assembly with overall achievers receiving awards.

Selected professionals will act in the roles of career exposure to community entrepreneurs, pitch judges, student guides, score keepers, registrants, and other key positions.

Expected student attendance is approximately 250. We are seeking multiple volunteers within each position to assist.
Contact Dee Manyama/  Volunteer Coordinator for this event for any key position not listed on the general registration link.

We hope you can join us, and look forward to working with you to make this a memorable event for both students and community partners alike.
