About

General Interest for Volunteers to Assist with Disaster Relief
Please register if you are interested in helping with recovery efforts for the tornado that came through Jefferson County on Monday, January 25th.  By registering, you will receive updates regarding opportunities to support disaster relief once the areas have been determined safe for volunteer efforts.

Updates:
Due to the lack of requests for clean-up from various sources, the EMA will not be opening a Volunteer Registration Center nor requesting volunteers for a clean-up day on Saturday, February 6th.

Warehouse Sorting is still taking place Now until Sunday afternoon on February 7th.  The weekend will be busy with people coming to get supplies and people bringing in supplies so volunteers for this opportunity are still needed to help.

NOTE:

United Way of Central Alabama (UWCA) is responsible for recruiting volunteers for opportunities given by the Jefferson County EMA.  The Jefferson County EMA is responsible for the coordination of the volunteer activity in the field.
