About
Help Meals on Wheels deliver additional pantry items to seniors! Spend a few hours in the community delivering bags of groceries in Jefferson County. Pantry bags will be picked up at the MOW Kitchen loading dock. A route sheet or client/address list will be provided at pick up. Due to the non-perishable items in the bags, they can be delivered at your convenience.
*Please note, a background check at the expense of the volunteer, is required prior to serving in this capacity.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Reliable transportation required
- Background check ($18.94) One-time only fee for NEW volunteers ONLY (MOW will cover the fee with at least a once monthly commitment for delivery)
- Valid proof of auto insurance
- Ability to lift 25 pounds

Requirement Details
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
Parking Details
Please park at the east side (the bigger side) of the parking lot to leave plenty of space for the buses and vehicles picking-up food to pull through and turn around.
