There are lots of way to participate in VAT Participant Orientation this year!
Orientation will be offered via a brief video. Click here to view VAT orientation. You can view it at your convenience, but please view it before VAT starts in early September.
We will host meet-and-greets on the original in-person orientation dates (8/16 and 8/23). You can stop by in person at UWCA or virtually on Zoom either day. Community Impact staff would love to meet you and answer your questions. Attendance is optional.

Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.

Dear VAT Volunteers,
Thank you again for signing up for VAT 2022. We appreciate your commitment to the United Way of Central Alabama and to the allocations process.
This year, VAT Orientation will be primarily through video. The Orientation video can be accessed on UWCA's Vimeo channel here: https://vimeo.com/737935786. You can view it at your convenience, but please view it before VAT starts in early September.
UWCA staff will be available for meet-and-greets on the original live orientation dates (8/16 and 8/23). You can drop in in-person at UWCA or on Zoom either day if you want to meet the Community Impact staff and/or ask questions about VAT. We would love to meet you, but attendance is totally optional.
Be on the lookout for your VAT agency review packets in early September. VAT teams will begin meeting at the end of September.
