United Way Day of Action

Each year, United Way of Central Alabama joins with hundreds of other United Ways around the world to mobilize citizens in service to their local communities These volunteers come in the form of individuals, students, senior citizens and workplace employees from surrounding companies, and participate in a wide range of projects-anything from painting or gardening, reading to children or serving the senior population. United Way Day of Action will take place on Tuesday, June 21st. This year we will have projects for the whole week of June 22nd through June 26th. Individuals/groups/families will be participating in several projects at local agencies and partners throughout the day. Why should my company participate in Day of Action? Day of Action encourages team building and the spirit of volunteerism among your employees. The servant attitude and community awareness gained by your employees that day will be brought back to the workplace. It also promotes your company's commitment to serving the local community.
