This annual day of service, held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, is designed to encourage and promote family volunteerism. This event kicks off the Thanksgiving holiday with families volunteering to serve and build their local community.

THIS IS A KIT ASSEMBLING PROJECT.


Volunteers are needed to create Holiday Craft Kits for Ronald McDonald House and Safehouse for families to put together during the holiday season. Kits can be dropped off starting Monday, November 16th, 2020 through Thursday, November 19th, 2020. 

These items can be packed in a gallon size Ziploc bag.  

 Items for this kit include the following:
  • Paper (lined, construction, and art)
  • Glue (sticks and liquid)
  • Paint/Paintbrushes
  • Recycled Items that can be used for art projects
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Various crafting items such as pompoms, beads/buttons, etc.
  • Cotton Balls
  • Googly Eyes
  • Strings/
  • Pipe Cleaners 
  • Markers
  • Crayons
  • Colored Pencils
  • Coloring books
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Mask
It is up to you to determine how many kits you would like to donate, there is not a limit. Once you have signed up please contact Tawanna Willoughby at twilloughby@uwca.org to let us know how many kits you or your company/group will be donating and to schedule a drop off.

Requirement Details
Volunteers MUST purchase craft items and ziploc bags and deliver the kits to United Way of Central Alabama -Main Entrance by Thursday, November 19th at 3pm.
