Age Restriction: 21 and up

Requirement Details:

• Complete SMP Volunteer Application including national background check
• Become SMP Certified
• Attend SMP Trainings
• Must volunteer a minimum of 10 hours monthly
• Must be willing to travel occasionally to events in Jefferson County

Knowledge and Skills
Volunteers interested in this type of position should be display a positive, compassionate and assertive in their personality.  Volunteers should possess good problem solving skills and computer skills including using the internet and email.  Must be comfortable speaking with clients and other agencies on the phone and in-person.
